Welcome to the Dr. Francis G. Bulber Youth Orchestra |
Thanks to everyone who made this summer a fantastic experience! Please see our audition requirements and dates for the upcoming semester. Thanks again, and we look forward to continued growth in the Dr. Francis G. Bulber Youth Orchestra!
We are also excited to announce a new class offering. Thanks to a generous donation of instruments, including instruments from the Rock Raizer Foundation through Dave Evans of Luna Bar and Grill, we can now offer a class featuring guitar instruction. The class is tentatively scheduled for Wednesdays from 5-6 pm, and will be taught by MSU graduate Ryan Bunch. Ryan is a classical guitarist who performs different genres locally for events and establishments, as well as private tutoring. Interested students may register on September 5 at 4 pm at the Shearman Fine Arts Center on the MSU campus. For more information, call the office at 337-582-2466.
Registration and pizza party will be September 5 from 4 to 5 pm, with auditions to follow.
When music and the human spirit connect, the lives of mankind and womankind are enriched. It is the mission of the Dr. Francis G. Bulber Youth Orchestra, founded in August of 1994, to teach about great music and its role in human history as well as to teach applied music by providing educational and performance experiences in an orchestral environment.
